    The Wegener Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for citizens of Central Oklahoma, through support of youth and families, health and wellness, arts and humanities, and education. The mission of Directors of The Wegener Foundation is to carry on the philanthropic legacy of Herman and Mary Wegener.

    Foundation History


    Herman and Mary Wegener founded the Wegener Foundation in 1958. This is a private foundation dedicated to supporting sustainable charitable organizations that improve the quality of living and education for people and communities through the Oklahoma City metro and surrounding areas.

    The Directors look to the needs of communities, large and small, and for mission statements that enhance living conditions for people with all levels of abilities.

    The Wegener Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for citizens of Central Oklahoma, through support of youth and families, health and wellness, arts and humanities, and education. The mission of Directors of The Wegener Foundation is to carry on the philanthropic legacy of Herman and Mary Wegener.

    Long-term partnerships are not uncommon with the Wegener Foundation. Worthy recipients that fulfill expanding needs of their communities year after year are considered favorably by the Foundation.
